Kent Haryett was a long-standing member of BW Law and a highly respected lawyer in the Edmonton legal community. He practiced law from 1994 until his passing in 2025, focusing on criminal defence, real estate transactions, and select civil and administrative matters.

Kent was especially known for his work in impaired driving law. In the mid-2000s, he was recognized by the Alberta Court of Justice as an expert in the field. His thorough, principled approach earned him the trust of clients and the respect of colleagues, Crown prosecutors, and judges.

Kent’s legacy continues to be felt throughout our firm, in the standard of work he set, the mentorship he provided, and the integrity he brought to every case. His legacy continues to shape the values and practice of BW Law.
